Update: VMware has released an independent package VMware Tools 11.0.5. Since several releases, VMware tools are released independently from ESXi hypervisor images. VMware Tools are important to vSphere infrastructure as they are tightly integrated and part of a vSphere environment. VMware Tools enhance the performance of virtual machines. Check the Connected option and click the Close button. After adding the darwin.iso to the Mojave 10.14 VM, the VMware Tools installation window will open. Click Install VMware Tools. Click on the Continue button to install VM Tools on the Mojave. Ive updated to macOS Sierra on VMware Workstation v12.5. Ive installed the latest VMware Tools darwin.iso v8.5.0 but Im still unable to change my resolution from 1024x768. I searched the forum and cant seem to find anyone having this issue so Im wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I can che.
Option 2 - Similar to the above option, if you do not wish to use the vSphere API, you can simply copy the darwin.iso (VMware Tools) image onto your Mac OS X guests and then perform the automated install. This is the current version of VMware Tools for OS X / macOS from the VMware CDS repository for Fusion 11.5.0
VMware are no longer including the ISO images as separate 'packages' in the CDS respository as of Fusion 11.5.0, instead the ISO images are included as part of the 'core' download which is 522 MB.
It is not possible to download the com.vmware.fusion.zip.tar due to upload limits.
However, I have extracted the darwin.iso and darwinPre15.iso from the 'core' and uploaded to this thread.

If you prefer to download the 'core' tar file and extract the ISO's they are located in the following directory in the tar file:

Please note: In the latest VMwareGfx.kext from Fusion 8.5.5 onwards VMware have discontinued the 2D-Acceleration code, and graphics performance is better now, thanks to Zenith432 for the update.
